Lorenzo Walker High School
As Collier County's only new school this year, Lorenzo Walker Career and Technical High School is taking on education from a different approach. The idea is to use technology in the classroom and at home that will give students a competitive edge in a changing job market or on a college campus. Each student is outfitted with a laptop computer and will undergo college prep classes for two years, deciding during their junior year what education area they want to focus on. The idea is new to Collier County but has been gaining momentum throughout the country.
