There are a lot of old applicants. These guys have or will retire from their current jobs to start over on Marco on the old double dip. Nothing wrong with that if you can do it. Please recruit within. Carr or Stenzel would be appropriate. Nothing against Preston, but New Bern (a sleepy little town) is no Marco.

Times are tough. I'm sure we could get a good firm for a lot less. Lets put it out for bid. $165.00 per hour is going rate in most jurisdiction. In a city like Marco with all that is going on, there should be a discount.

While everything else is torn up, lets replace the bridge. Otherwise, the construction will never end. No problem with tolls. Toll is a gallon of gas, who would drive 15 miles out of the way to save paying a toll?

I can see it now. North Barfield section property owners your payment is now due for the underground powerline istallation (or should we call it the power upgrade). You can pay us in one lump sum at a discount or finance it over 20 years. But wait! There was nothing wrong with the overhead lines!!!....

Survey page came up. Looks like it tries to trick you into a agreeing to a toll bridge by asking how far you would drive over Goodland Bridge versus paying toll amount. With gas prices the way they are paying a toll would be the cheapest way to go, but what about no toll and FDOT/Collier foot the bill for bridge upgrade and no one pay tolls?

Survey is flawed!

Personally, I'm not against tolling the bridge. Might deter criminal activities and any store or restaurant that feels the toll would take away business, look at Sanibel and if you have something good to sell at a reasonable price, people will pay toll.
