Great article, very well done Mr. Walton. You are right, the event was a lot of fun and the kids had a really good time. Thanks to the Eagle for covering this event for the MICMS and for all of the awesome pictures online for the kids, parents and grandparents!!!!

Not sure if this community is ready for a recall, even in this case when it is totally justified. The hope is that Mr. Kiester will do the honorable thing and resign before the public & the press start a hailstorm of questions and articles. He must realize that after this he will be irrelevant as a councilor. His unprofessionalism, endorsement of four city antagonists and now a guilty Sunshine verdict; he has caused enough damage to our city's reputation.

Kiester is irrelevant now. I suspect he will be ignored by the new council. If he had any sense he would resign. If he doesn't resign and is not recalled, he will just be taking up space. Worthless and ineffective!

Byrone, read the facts. This senario will happen if your guys get elected, stop being so bull-headed. Read the Clarence Tears interview, isn't that proof enough for you and the others. The state will mandate the sewers, why is that so hard to believe? You are gambling with your financial future and that of all islanders and the odds are against you!
Look Byrone, you never have to admit you're wrong on this, just do your homework and do the right thing in the voting booth.

Lolala, if you lived here for more than a couple of months a year you would have a right to voice your critical opinions of our fine council members.
Whoever you are I am certain that you have done NOTHING productive or positive for our community! If the Eagle was going to do a article on an individual why not choose someone with a more colorful background like Frances X. Neylon (Contractors Hall of Shame in MA) or Bill McMullan (scores of information about his background as ex-Vice Mayor of Kissimmee).
You are just a typical CAVE Dweller who can't get over the fact that you, your friends and your candidates are all losers who tried to hijack our community.
Fortunately, the real leaders of Marco Island are STILL in power and you and your kind are NOT!
