Mr. Roach was stopped and searched for taking a walk at 2 a.m.? Next time leave your reefer at home, pal. In the meantime, maybe we can get the cops a Nintendo Wii so they can make virtual arrests, and not have to waste their time and our money hassling victimless, non-violent offenders.

What kind of politicians are we electing these days, when they hesitate to exploit an existing revenue stream? Never thought I'd live to see the day. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Multiple personality bloggers: You don't have to be a dentist or lawyer to know when you strike a nerve, your rants only serve to steel the resolve of the opposition. Best wishes to Frank, hopefully he can rise above your petty sniping.(Whew-glad I wasn't singled-out in Montel's post, it might've ruined my whole day.)

On Collier judge finds Marco council member guilty of records violation

As we saw in the recent election, the "silent majority" are aptly named because they are only here to winter-over in their condos. Not exactly fair to us full-timers, but you play the hand you're dealt. Unfotunately, they were easily manipulated by Arceri and his threat of rate increases that would drive their condo fees up. How sad to see such a vile man use an unwitting pawn like Sal to attack another year-round neighbor like Chuck for his own personal machinations. I for one, hope to be able to reaffirm my trust in Chuck at the polls in two years. As for one-term ex-councillor John Arceri, take your place on the garbage heap of used Marco politicos.

Didn't those Publix workers used to bathe in the canals? And now, like the barnacles & blue crabs they're gone. Yep, it's definitely the STRP!

Celebrate Marco ran a full-page ad on page 25 of last friday's Eagle that said: "As a water utility ...in four short years... fair rates- currently some 25% lower than Collier County utility rates." From my MIU water bill, $27.86 plus $3.48 per thousand gallons monthly. From www.colliergov.net, $16.03 plus $1.92 per thousand gallons monthly. 25% lower? Not exactly. CELEBRATE MARCO (John Arceri, et.al.)ARE LIARS.Do the research, see for yourself, don't be fooled.

On Marco Island’s divisive campaign issue: Sewer system or septic tanks?

How do you know for certain that SFWMD would not allow Marco to use raw water to supplement re-use, no application has been made as yet. Cape Coral uses canal freshwater to supplement their re-use, and Naples is in the process of reactivating previously abandoned raw water wells that are no longer suitable for potable water production to provide enough re-use for Port Royal. Your lawn doesn't care if the water you give it is chlorinated, fluoridated & fit for human consumption. The minerals & nutrients in a re-use/ raw mix would lessen the need for "treatments" and reduce potable water production costs. My FDEP license number ia available upon request.

themessiah-Not my messiah: Owned here since '92, went full-time in '99. I hold a Wastewater Collection Technician certification from the Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association. My home is on septic, and I'd rather not have it any other way. Believe it or not, wastewater treatment plants operate on the same principles as septic, but on a high-speed, high-capacity scale. Ignorance is a disease, please don't try to spread the disease.

Lolala, low as worms? As a Navy Submarine Service veteran I'll trump that one with whale excrement, how's that for low?

John Arceri...One term city councilman and "point man" for the city's gone-oh-so-wrong acquisition of Florida Water Services' assets. Go out and rent the "Dead Man Walking" DVD and pop some popcorn, it's so you.
