Neylon, my question is why do you even care; YOU DON'T EVEN LIVE HERE!! What are you trying to prove? It's common knowledge on the island that you are renting your house out and you live full-time in Mass. You are a pathetic loser...leave us alone on Marco Island once and for all.
P.S. In case you forgot, you received the least amount of votes in the last election! Don't you get it, we don't like you or want your crazy BS on Marco any longer...what a loser!

Our city council did a great job and this article is very misleading. They made the tough decisions and did the right thing by a unanomous 7-0 vote none the less. If we want services in our city we have to pay for them, fire, rescue, police, recreation, etc. I thought the council’s decisions against the fire assessment and for the tax hike were the right ones. We can't expect to get services and not pay for them.
As for McMullan’s imaginary 1600 emails, these are the same vocal minority that signed the emails in protest against the STRP and for the recall. The silent majority put the current council in place with over 5000 votes each. Ms. Farrell, I would do a little research and check the validity of these emails, if they even exist.
It was Fay Biles, on behalf of MITA, formally requested the highest tax rate, not just one citizen as McMullan claims; he is an expert at spreading misinformation! It was evident that the council showed their dismay for McMullan’s nonsense, too bad the press didn't pick up on that!
My advice to the bloggers above...move to Sun City because Marco Island is not, and never will be a retirement community!

Where were our two prize citizens Hall and Neylon?? I thought they served on this committee. Oh wait, they were at their homes...Neylon in New England and Hall in California because they don't live here. Last I heard Neylon was renting out his house on the island.

I hope our city council remembers that McMullan does NOT speak for the majority on Marco Island.
His history and background are well documented in the Orlando Sentinel - November 19, 1989

McMullan, nothing you say or email has any credibility. I am amazed how shameless you really are. most people with a checkered past like yours would bury their heads in the sand and be thankful they weren't run out of town but you keep on pushing the enevelope. Jiminy Cricket is coming out of retirement; you are a disgrace.
Who Is Bill McMullan, Really?
Before Bill McMullan calls our City Council members and Planning Board members dishonest, liars, and crooks, Bill McMullan needs to GOOGLE his own name!
He was involved in a scam on Marco in the early 1980's where he was indicted for defrauding a bank and he plead guilty and plea bargained with the U.S. Attorney's office for a lower sentence, as a result he also lost his real estate license.
In the mid-1980s he resigned in disgrace as Vice-Mayor of the City of Kissimmee, Florida and was prosecuted for his actions in attempting to defraud the City out of impact fees owed them on a commercial development he was handling.
He was sued by his investors in that project and filed bankruptcy. There is much more to be learned about this man.
Just GOOGLE McMullan if you have the time to read literally hundreds of newspaper articles on his history.

I agree, all the a-holes who have nothing better to do go to the council meetings and complain about everything.

Van, sorry if you don't like the "turd" moniker but after reading your blogs that is my opinion, which according to you I am entitled to. As for a meeting, if your intent is to be threatening in any way (as your blog suggests) I recommend you bring a lot of friends with you. You may be a very nice person but I have a sense that the negativity and cynicism is seeping out of your pores.
Incidentally, NONE of your blog posts have ever promoted Marco Island. All you have ever done is complain.

Enman, you are either a complete imbecile or you intentionally mislead. Either way you are a non-entity along with Marco Island’s other shameful names like, Foster, Davies, Hall, Neylon, Guidry, Beaufort, Putnam, etc.
Councilor Forcht, while I appreciate your attempts to rationalize your STRP votes I don't appreciate your middle of the road politics. Do what the majority you represent wants you to do, not what the few loud mouth bullies want you to do at meetings. The only people that come to meetings are ones that have a gripe! As evidenced by the recent election where the citizens told you that they want the STRP you still don't represent those citizens. Every state agency supported the STRP for environmental reasons (blackwidow is misleading and incorrect). Remember the testimony from the head of the SWFWMD, THE FDEP and the FDOH? They supported the STRP along with over 60% of well-informed, sane voters. So get over yourself and your self-righteous anti-STRP sentiments because sewers are good for Marco Island.
While you sometimes seem to be the voice of reason on council we're all tired of your anti-STRP BS...get over it and get over yourself; the real heroes on council stood up to the bullies and voted for sewers while you, Kiester and Discullio caved in to the CAVE DWELLERS. It may have made you popular at council meetings but to 60% of the citizens you did the easy thing not the right thing!
As for the electric company I agree with you Mr. Forcht. I am on your mailing list and this blog is not meant to insult you but to let you know, with the exception of the STRP, I support you and am happy you are on council. Just get over the fact that you politically aligned yourself with the WRONG people. You aligned yourself with people that had personal agendas, not people that want what’s best for Marco Island. Now, please focus on doing what is best for Marco Island…not what makes you popular with the naysayers!

Neylon is NOT a resident on Marco Island; his house on Hernando has renters in it. Neylon is a loser and so are you Fossil for believing his garbage.
