Your Photos: The People of Southwest Florida 2008

Tim Scanlan writes, "This photo of our grandson Hunter Scanlan, age 2, was taken in Naples on Christmas Day 2007. Although not really dressed appropriately for the occasion, Hunter was jumping into the small waves as they reached the shore. Among the features I find interesting about this photo are the height of the jump (for a two-year-old), the reflection of his feet and legs in the wet sand, his long shadow in the sand behind him. It was 5:55 p.m. and the sun was low in the western sky to the left, which explains the long shadow. Also, the young man farther down who is also acting like a 2-year-old having fun on Christmas."
