In custody on Marco Island
Police combed wooded areas and back yards of Marco Island searching for suspects on Friday with the help of a helicopter and at least one search dog.

Marco Island Police escort a young man into a police car on Colonial Ave., around 1:40 on Friday afternoon. He was taken into custody while police were searching for a group of four youths who allegedly led police on a chase before fleeing on foot in the Kendall Drive area of Marco Island. One of the youths was listed as a juvenile runaway from outside of Collier County.

Marco Island Fire Rescue personnel get ready to load the young man they apprehended onto a stretcher. He was taken away from the scene by ambulance roughly an hour after being taking into custody, but appeared to be standing on his own with little trouble. He was handcuffed and restrained to the stretcher.
