— Marco Island Police detectives are asking for help to solve a burglary Saturday afternoon at a home construction site on the island.

About 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a white Ford F-150 or F-250 pickup was seen parked at a home under construction at 473 Parkhouse Court. Items are missing from the home, the police department reports.

The Marco Island Police Department has released photographs of the truck and a man seen at the home. This person of interest is being sought by Marco Police.

The man driving the pickup is described as a white or Hispanic male, 40 to 50 years of age, with short dark hair. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds to 200 pounds. The man was wearing a green, sleeveless T-shirt with "Acunto Landscaping" on it, brown or tan shorts, white socks, blue athletic shoes and rimless glasses, the police department reports.

The truck had a damaged front bumper, chrome exterior mirrors, chrome exterior entry handles on the side of the cab, a built-in fiberglass visor with marker lights, an integrated wing with a third brake light on rear of cab, a yellow object hanging from its rearview mirror, and a front license plate with an eagle, flag and bulldozer on it, the police department reports.

Anyone with information about the incident, the vehicle or the person of interest should contact Detective Glenn Zirgibel at (239) 389-5050.
