As hard as it is to believe by all those who regularly frequent the Marco Island Residents’ Beach, there are individuals on Marco, who for one reason or another, have never joined and enjoyed the Residents’ Beach!
Just last week at the MICA office, a couple came in and remarked that they have been MICA members for more than 10 years, but had never joined Residents’ Beach because they live on the beach.
They recently visited the Residents’ Beach with friends who are members and could not get over the beauty of the park and the amenities offered.
Now you know that Residents’ Beach is not just a parking lot. After you walk, bike, or drive onto the property, you can take your children or grandchildren to the brand new playground. No children or grandchildren with you today? How about breakfast or lunch at the recently opened Paradise Grill? Or perhaps you’re in the mood to grill some lunch yourself for that real old fashioned barbecued taste. Don’t forget to pack the charcoal! Maybe you just want to sit on a bench and read that book you’ve been putting off for months.
There are occasions now and then when you may have a family member visiting who cannot make the trek down to the Gulf of Mexico. As a member, you are welcome to use one of our beach wheelchairs and take your guest down to wiggle his or her tows in the Gulf.
Of course, we do offer the most beautiful beach in the world, along with umbrella chickees and benches. And when you’ve soaked up enough rays and you’re ready to head home, shower off and leave the sand behind!
There are also special events that are just open to Residents’ Beach members, such as the Holiday Celebration, the MICA Spring Concert, the July Fourth Celebration, and the most recent event, Tanzarena Liechtenstein.
Anyone who owns improved property on Marco or rents for two months or longer on Marco is welcome to join and enjoy the Marco Island Residents’ Beach.
For just over $10 per month you can spend your mornings, afternoons, and sunsets at the Marco Island Residents’ Beach 365 days per year! You might think that’s a little extreme, but it is possible!
For information regarding Residents’ Beach and MICA membership, please call the MICA office at 642-7778.
