Carol Bottola, YMCA fitness instructor, urges students in grades six through nine to take her strength training camp that begins Aug. 5.

“The camp is meant to build self-esteem, while also improving strength, tone muscles and condition the body,” she said. “Being able to improve your body helps build confidence.”

Cost for the course is $65 for members and $85 for others.

The All Skills Volleyball Camp comes back for a second session on Aug. 4. Jessica Miller, Palmetto Ridge volleyball coach, operates the camp for kindergarten through eighth grades. Cost is $60 for kindergarten through third grades, $75 for non-members and $80 for grades four through eight, $95 for non-members.
