Letter to the Editor: Not on Tract K
I read today, with dismay, an article in the Naples Daily News regarding talks with the Collier County Superintendent of Schools and our new City Manager. I am sure we are all for researching new sources of energy, especially solar, but Tract K is not the place. How can this even be considered? This venture would be far better suited to a commercial area rather than residential.
As you all well know, the people of Marco Island are most interested in a dog park and Tract K would be ideal. I am sure the residents whose property adjoins Tract K would much rather have a passive park than a commercial enterprise in their backyard.
Please advise our new city manager that this is not a good idea and move forward with somehow obtaining Tract K for the people of Marco Island.
Again, thanking you kindly for your continued support, I remain,
Sincerely,
Deborah Chapman, Marco Island

Deborah, I have two dogs and am happy with a dog friendly island so please stop with the chronic militant plea for a leash free dog park. You got a lot and thank you for your efforts but now you're starting to sound like a spoiled brat.

Deborah, MarcoFacts is right. How can Mr. Elliott be successful with his new solar power inititive without this government owned land? He needs this property to receive his share of the pie. Besides he is a very good friend of the bartender that was elected as your representative. You have to understand that there are certain citizens on Marco Island that are more deserving then others. Imagine Track K becoming a public park? Why everyone would be able to use it to have fun. It is valuable property and it would be a shame if our nobility couldn't use it for their own purposes to increase their personal wealth. Understand?

Well spoken Beowulf! The fact that the "Good old boys" regard Marco as their personal treasure chest to be divided amoung themselves is becomming more obvious by this puppet council, controlled by Arceri and Lazarus through their shill Waldack. It is only a matter of time before the citizens wake up to these abuses.
