The Florida Elections Commission has declared a citizen's complaint against a Marco Island corporation "legally insufficient" in a letter dated Jan. 24.
The complaint filed by Marco resident Bill McMullan argued that the corporation Celebrate Marco Inc. violated elections laws by actively supporting candidates in Tuesday's election.
Florida Elections Commission Executive Director Barbara Linthicum wrote McMullan's complaint was "legally insufficient" and that McMullan has until Feb. 7 to amend the complaint or have it dismissed.

What a joke, one more reason to vote for Recker, Trotter, Gibson & Waldack. The anti-sewer guys have sued the city and tried everything they can to disrupt city business and stop the STRP. McMullan, a man with no credibility and questionable past should shut the heck up; his Eye on Marco just endorsed candidates and he is not a PAC. MITA has endorsed candidates and they are not a PAC. You people are a joke! One more baseless complaint against the good guys and one more loss for the trouble makers!

One more example of how much influence Celebrate Marco Members have. Let's turn this special interest group out of our government and return our city to the people. Give us back a government that represents the people, an open government. Vote for Batte, Neylon, Hall and Guidry.

The people of Marco have spoken, so please no more lawsuits or threats!

Foster, Erickson, Davies, McMullan, Biles, Putnam, Hall, Neylon and the rest of you. Can you please stop?
What's next?? Are you going to challenge the election results? Ask for a recount? Blame Celebrate Marco for bringing the vote out? How about accepting responsibility for being nasty, vile human beings who have spread lies and misinformation about our city and it's leaders. Our leaders have been brave in the face of threats, recalls and damage to their personal property. We are the silent majority, we have spoke and we are tired of all of the nonsense.
Good luck to the winners!

Mr. McMullan: Let me know if you decide to pursue this matter. There is a published LTE that Dr. Biles wrote to the Sun Times that I have endorsing candidates that she signed as President of MITA. Being the objective person that you are, I'm certain you will want to include that blatant violation, with glaring evidence, to the State Elections Committee. The last time I checked, MITA was not a PAC. If you decide not to do it, I'm certain someone will.
