What is new with the MIHS?
MIHS news now online. Want to keep up with what is going on concerning the museum, the capital campaign and the current events? We have a Web site: theMIHS.org, and a webmaster, Andrea Schmenkel. We have a newsletter online called “Marco Island Historical Society News.”
If you have e-mail and would like to receive these timely bulletins please contact editor Bill Perdhizzi at 394 6917 and provide your e-mail address or simply e-mail him at nfn04051@naples.net and tell him that you want to be placed on the list of recipients. You may cancel at any time by simply checking the box to cancel.
The MIHS proudly announces hat it has raised $3.3 million of the $4.5 million needed to build the museum and administration building. There are still naming opportunities, and we need to encourage our friends, family, local business, organizations, and anyone else that we can get interested, to join our project by pledging or contributing to the building of the museum complex.
Just ask them if they are willing to become a part of this grassroots community effort to educate our children and the public about the incredible history of the Calusa and Marco Island region.
