The Community Blood Center of Naples and Bonita Springs is teaming up with local businesses to host a “tailgate for life” blood drive to help shore up blood supplies that traditionally run low this time of year.

The blood drive is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Mission Square Plaza, 1575 Pine Ridge Road, a half mile east of Goodlette-Frank Road.

All successful donors will receive a $10 gas card, $10 gift certificate to Dino’s Restaurant, Ideal Image VIP Cards, discounts off a comprehensive weight loss management exam from Cedarquist Medical Wellness Center and other giveaways.

All event participants will have the opportunity to win grand raffle prizes.

Blood supplies are low because of a high need this time of year, especially with the arrival of the Labor Day holiday and increased frequency of tropical disturbances.
