MARCO ISLAND Police blocked off a Marco Island neighborhood for about 20 minutes this afternoon after a woman with a gun threatened to shoot herself.
The woman, whose name was not released, was holed up inside 85 South Seas Court from about 3:25 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., Marco Island spokeswoman Lisa Douglass said. After 20 minutes, the woman surrendered to police.
"We blocked off all access to that general vicinity," Douglass said.
No one was injured in the standoff.
