Every Saturday morning, at Winterberry Park, kids come out and play T-Ball for the Marco Island Baseball league.
There is no score kept in the T-Ball league. It is more for teaching the game.
This week in the T-Ball division, the Angels are featured. Head Coach for the Angels is Chris Burt and he is backed-up by Assistant Coach Bill Morris.
A few players were asked what their favorite thing about baseball and the responses were:
Madeline Burt, “definitely batting;” Adrian Cueto, “that’s Adrian with an A — catching;” Alessandro Donato, “batting for me;” Kevin Labra, “I really like batting;” Zeke Morris, “hitting the ball;” Anna Neptune, “batting;” and Katie Sprankle, “me too, batting.”
Chris Burt said, “For the league’s first year this season is really going great. The kids have made tremendous progress. They are really hitting and catching the ball well. When they are out here they are having a fantastic time.”
Bill Morris added, “The kids are really enjoying their time out here. It can be challenging at times, keeping everyone organized, but it’s a joy to see the kids laughing and having a good time. The kids are getting better every day and are really picking up the game.”
The Angels roster includes, Madeline Burt, Adrian Cueto, Alessandro Donato, Jonathan Hurtley, Kevin Labra, Abigayle and Andrew Lundquist, Zeke Morris, Anna Neptune and Katie Sprankle.
