Upsets end City softball season

Playoffs begin Thursday

Upsets finished out the Men’s City Softball League regular season on Thursday.

DaVinci’s pounded Nacho Mama’s, 13-1 and Sand Bar sank Capt. Brien’s 16-11. Cocomo’s, the league champ, topped St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 16-7.

Mark Feola Jr. slapped out three hits, while teammates Mark Feola Sr., Damien Shadrick, Mike Radlovacki, Mike Graczyk, Joe DiSciullo, and Eric Smith chipped in with two hits each. Dave Flowers led Nacho Mama’s with two hits.

Sand Bar’s Greg St. Armour had three hits and Tom Rozankowski and Kurt Busch added two hits each for Sand Bar.

Scott Gibbs, Niels Stone, Mike Watkins, Mark Stillwagon, Dan Noyes and Sean Shea led Cocomo’s with two hits each. Donny Montroy, Tim Dillingham, Patrick Baldwin and Mike Vanderjagt knocked out two hits each for St. Mark’s.

The final standings show Cocomo’s at 16-2, Nacho Mama’s, 12-5, St. Mark’s, 10-7, DaVinci’s, 7-10-1, Mel’s, 7-11, Capt. Brien’s, 5-12-1 and Sand Bar, 4-14.

Playoffs begin Thursday night.

In the first game, at 6, DaVinci’s plays Mel’s, followed by St. Mark’s and Capt. Brien’s at 7:15 p.m. and Nacho Mama’s and Sand Bar at 8:30 p.m.
