The construction of the Crystal Shores timeshare development by Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) is proceeding. The above grade demolition will be completed in a week. The construction of the Sales Gallery will begin at that time. Ed Kinney, vice president of Corporate Affairs and Brand Awareness, said Friday he expected to receive the construction permits that day.

The construction of the first two buildings is expected to begin in October.

Kinney said MVCI is marketing the units within Florida and the other exempt states that the company is allowed to market in, pending formal registration.

A company has to be registered in each state that it markets in.

“We have announced the Crystal Shores to our owner base,” Kinney added. “We have an Owners Clubhouse Web site and they can go in and see what other properties are being added to our portfolio.”
