Sheila's Out Shopping: Thrill of the grill
My husband enjoys grilling and I thought I would upgrade his grill to a super model to encourage more outdoor cooking. I found just what I was looking for in the CharBroil four-burner gas grill ($299) at Lowe’s. It has a porcelain heating plate, storage space and an electronic ignition that can be changed to natural gas.
There were other models that had more bells and whistles, but the prices were higher and this one had everything we would use.
I got so engrossed in grills before I started to think about how many local restaurants use the word grill in their name. I toured the area and found Kona Grill, Ted’s Montana Grill, Cibao Grill and South Street Grill. It became a game to see how many Grills were around town.
I took it a step further and thought about car grills. I visited car lots and found the perfect grill on a Bentley ($265,266). I couldn’t decide between the sedan or the convertible but finally chose the sedan. It seems elegant, graceful and harmonious. The only problem is the price tag. I guess I’ll stick with my gas grill. In comparison it seems to be a bargain.
