Storms possible again this afternoon

More rain is expected again today for Southwest Florida.

There will be a 60 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., the National Weather Service reports.

Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s with a heat index as high as 100 degrees. The relative humidity will be at 71 percent with winds out of the west between 4 and 7 mph. The temperature low will be 76.

The rain chance will decrease to 50 percent on Monday, the weather service said. Temperatures will hover around 90 degrees Monday with a heat index of 103. The temperature should drop to 77 degrees.
