The Naples Hurricane Grill & Wings is kicking off the first official day of Hurricane Season with an inaugural Founder's Day celebration on Sunday, June 1st. Hurricane season coincides with the Hurricane Grill & Wings Founder Chris Russo's birthday. The restaurant will be taking their wing prices all the back to the beginning with 25 cent wings and dollar Kona Fire Rock draft beers.

Naples, Fla. (May 30, 2008) – In 1995, 22-year-old Chris Russo opened Hurricane Grill & Wings as a single beachside location in Fort Pierce, Florida. Thirteen years later, Hurricane Grill & Wings has more than 30 locations throughout Florida and Las Vegas. As Hurricane Grill & Wings continues its aggressive national expansion, the chain is celebrating its inaugural Founder’s Day this Sunday, June 1st in honor of Chris’ birthday and the first day of the season for which the restaurant is named.

Founder’s Day was conceived to celebrate Hurricane Grill & Wings’ successes and recognize community support by giving back. Participating Hurricane Grill & Wings locations which includes the Naples location will be hosting a Founder’s Day party on Sunday, June 1st, with great specials such as $1 Kona Firerock Drafts and $.25 wings featuring 35 varieties of award winning sauces and rubs which have become the signature of the Hurricane Grill & Wings experience.

The company also works hard to be eco-friendly and conscious of decreasing its carbon footprint. Hurricane Grill & Wings offers only fresh, all-natural chicken wings, 100% certified Angus beef, and strives to source all produce directly from premium growers. Its beverage cups are made from 100% corn, making them environmentally sustainable, and packaging supplies are recyclable and made from natural kraft paperboard that is a minimum of 30 percent post consumer recycled product. The catering menus are printed on wind power generated paper. All cooking oils contain no trans fats, and the restaurant partners with Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI), which collects the used cooking oil and recycles more than 50 percent of the oil into the making of bio-diesel fuel.
