Long John Silver's extends hours

Ahoy matey! The Long John Silver's on U.S. 41 East - just past the intersection of 41 & Bayshore Drive - is extending their hours! It's the only place for fast food seafood in the county - and they used to close at 9 p.m. No more!
Planks of fish and other delicious fried crunchy things are now available for an additional hour on weekdays and an extra two hours on Fridays & Saturdays!
In addition to a spiffy remodel that saw new booths and furnishings in the dining room (but still the same kinda-ugly stylized fish wallpaper, go figure) the shrimp shack is now staying open until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends. Until the Sonic opened up down the road, LJS was the only place around to get fast-food cheese sticks.
New hours are supposed to start Feb. 4. For you GPS nuts, the Long John Silver's is located at 3015 East Tamiami Trail. Their phone number is 239-775-0301.
