Bye-bye Bubbalini’s on Marco
Posted February 28, 2008
Long-serving Marco Island restaurant Bubbalini’s has closed its doors.
The restaurant, which had been open at its Town Center location for more than 10 years, was owned by Dennis and Florence Rowley.
They previously owned a similarly-named restaurant, Bub’s, on the Isles of Capri.
Dennis Rowley was unable to be contacted for comment, but he left a note on the restaurant’s door directed to customers and his staff.
It read, in part: “Dear Friends, Bubbalini’s is closed. It was in our best interests due to health and family matters.
We want to thank you for your many, many years of support. We enjoyed a wonderful life here in Marco and it could not have been possible without all of you.
The letter was dated Feb. 23.
