Cilantro Tamales on Marco gets name change
Posted February 20, 2008
Formerly a supermarket and convenience store cashier, Diana Perez took the initiative three years ago to form her own restaurant on Marco Island.
Helped by her husband Ismael, Perez put her wits and resources together to make a success of Cilantro Tamales, which was part of a small local franchise in Collier County.
Recently, Perez took things a step further by disconnecting herself from the franchise, and changing the name to Margarita’s Authentic Mexican Food.
“Now we’re independent,” she said, “and we still serve the same fresh food, as well as offer an expanded menu.”
The restaurant is situated in the Town Center near Video Showcase, and opens 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The restaurant has a margaritasontheisland.com Web site, which showcases the menu and prices. Contact number is 394-6555.
