Sally's Beauty Supply ... great prices on salon equipment
Posted May 14, 2008
You are so beautiful....but it takes quite a bit to get that way!! I know I am high maintenance and now found a way to cut back on all that. I was amazed at what I found at Sally's!
I went in to get some protein for my sorry little nails after having the acrylics taken off. They looked oh so good but are oh so hard on your nails. I bought a bottle of Nail Tec from the salon and paid too much for it ... and it didn't seem to do much good. At Sally's I bought a bottle of Starting Over for after artificials that is protein therapy at a much lower price and seems to be working much better.
I talked with Corrie Nelson who is a licensed cosmetologist. I had my hair colored at the salon for $85 and she told me I could buy Color Brilliance, a European professional color made with wheat protein for $4.99 and a bottle of developer to mix it with for $2.99. I will have enough to do my hair FOUR times! Yikes! That's quite a savings! No more high maintenance for me! I saw root touch ups that looks like a tube of lip gloss, great for a quick fix, $4.99.
If you want the acrylic pink and whites they have a whole kit complete with a CD to show you just how to do it yourself, $27.99. Not many items in the store can't be bought by the public however there are a few things sold only to the professionals. There is a whole line up of things for pedicures too.
I loved all the stuff for massage therapy, everything you would find in a first class spa including the rocks. A bag of Black Basalt River Stones, you put them in a pot of boiling water, let them cool a bit and use them to heal degenerated skin and they send warming sensations to sore joints and muscles, also helps swelling. There was Swedish massage oils and essential oils in different scents to mix with lotions. But I still say there is nothing like a great massage at a wonderful spa.
The Spa Caviar offers nails and hands a luxurious line of products. Experience the natural power of green tea with Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea Collection.
There was a wall of false eye lashes, Corrie said they are making a big comeback. Everything from individual lashes to small strips of lashes and the big honkin' spider lashes!! Fun!
You will find so many products from hair removal creams and waxes, peels and wrinkle creams, nail polishes and lip sticks, all kinds of emery boards and files, nail decals. Even a wall of hair extensions in all colors. Also they carry men's grooming solutions.
There were price cuts through the store. I'd say it was worth the trip ... but who knows what color my hair will turn out ... I'm going to give it a try!
