This store knows ... what a girl wants
Posted March 6, 2008
That's the name of the store, What A Girl Wants! It sure got my attention, I did a U-ey when I spotted it...just had to find out what's with that!
It's a shop filled with fashion jewelry, accessories, and much, much more. As soon as I entered the door I saw a beautiful array of colorful tea party ceramics all in bright, bold prints. The tea pots were $34.99, big mugs $14.99, four plates $80. and the cutest tea bag holders just $4.99. They would brighten anyone's tea table. Also found dishware in bright yellow with orange poppies, FUN!
I loved the hand blown perfume bottles is such vibrant colors at $24.99. I should have bought one, think I have to go back! The shop carries unusual spreaders for parties, wild readers with case and holder $15.99, jeweled hair pins, sun and surf luggage tags that look like flip flops $8.99. Silver key chains that look like Brighton for $11. A sweet Victorian elegant lady that holds your jewelry $24. A huge teeny-tiny shoe collection that reminded me of my closet! Not that my shoes are teeny-tiny but I have quite a collection! They were $5.99.
Picture frames decorated with stones from $15. A nice assortment of kids jewelry, my granddaughter loves it and it is hard to find. Lots of unusual jewelry with all kinds of different beads. Some really long necklaces, are they coming back? The inspiration bracelets were great gifts at $10.
Quite a selection of things for your closet or bath. Breeze Brise drawer liner in soft colors and scents, White Iris, Vanilla Spice, and Romance, $9.99. In the same scents were closet sachets $3.49. Incense sticks, and scented gel bath beads $19.99.
There were some hats, shawls, and belts but what I really loved were the purses. I have to go back and get the tiny black shirred one for evening that had a big black flower on it. The flower was edged with rhinestones and came off to be used as a pin if you like. $49. Priceless!! The purses were unusual, one was completely covered with roses $43.99, a velvet one adorned with feathers was stunning at $149. The natural horn and mother of pearl bags by Mad Bags were quite a conversation piece, some were also adorned with shells and sold for $35.-85. There was a whole selection of tiny evening bags just big enough for a lipstick and a cell phone, oh yes, and a credit card!! Darling! I actually could have selected several, they were all so different. But like my shoes I have quite a few but think I could have slid that little black one in!
