Godiva Chocalatier has arrived in Estero

Posted June 30, 2008

Talk about indulgence! This store is to die for!

Ken Smith the store manager gave me a personal tour of all the wonderful chocolates he has to offer. It is a beautiful, bright, contemporary store that just opened three weeks ago. It has inviting bistro tables with umbrellas in front just calling your name to sit a bit and sip on one of their sinfully delicious hot or cold Chocolixir beverages made with real Godiva chocolate.

Angelina made one up for me in milk chocolate caramel. There is no coffee in it but of course I had it piled with whipped cream ... delicious! There goes the diet!! They come in several different flavors, making it hard to make a choice!

Ken said there are only three outlet stores in the entire country, where they have 20-50% off retail. Aren't we lucky to have one right here in our neighborhood!

Every day they prepare fresh dipped and drizzled temptations. Angelina is the dipping expert, she dips fresh fruit, strawberries, kabobs, berry dessert cups, macaroons, and peanut butter cups. If that's not enough to tempt you, across the back find their famous, traditional gold boxes of Godiva chocolates in all sizes. A great buy and a good seller is the ten piece box for $9.75. They wrap the boxes with your choice of ribbon and have different attachments for the top. What a great hostess gift! Everyone is always impressed with a box of chocolates, especially if it's Godiva!

In addition to the gold boxes they are offering self treats such as individual chocolate bars, small bags of dark chocolate almonds or chocolate raspberries among other choices.

There is a wonderful display of truffles, packaged in all sizes but one that caught my eye was the box of thirty in a beautiful jewelry box, $65.

You have a choice of all sized custom gift baskets already made up and lovely tins of biscuits. Their coffee is available in five flavors in regular or decaf at 50% off retail.

A different chocolate is featured each week, this week is the raspberry star. When you select three chocolates from decadent display case you receive a featured chocolate free. The individual chocolates are priced from fifty cents to $2.25 but are usually sold by the pound.

Same day local delivery from Ft. Myers to Naples is offered as well as overnight delivery to anywhere in the Continental U.S.

Godiva's history began more than 75 years ago in Burssels, Belgium when master chocolatier Joseph Draps founded a chocolate company that was named in honor of the legend of Lady Godiva. Since it's introduction to America in 1966, Godiva continues to be the leader in the premium confectionery category.

Godiva Chocolatier, Inc. is located at 10801 Corkscrew Rd. Suite #81 in the Miromar Outlet Mall in Estero. Phone: 947-3278
