Sweet treats at Edison Mall
Posted June 6, 2008
The candy man, Harold Biagini and his wife Joyce opened Fuzziwigs Candy Factory just a few weeks ago and are enjoying a brisk business with their bulk candies. They have more than 400 different candies to tempt you.
I think I gained two pounds just walking through the door! The store carries all flavors of rock candy, all sizes of gumballs, the world's smallest jaw breakers to mega jaw breakers. There are rows of red hots, sour balls, cinnamon bears, jolly ranchers, tootsie rolls, you name it, all sold in bulk. They also feature the popular Jelly Belly brand of gourmet jelly beans in rows of rainbows of colors.
There is a lollipop stand with high-end lolly's in all sizes. Personalized mints in small tin boxes with your name on it that look like tiny Florida license plates for $3. I loved the M&M factory! With 21 flavors, they are popular for weddings, baby showers and parties at $9.96 per pound.
Every day they get fudge from The Shell Factory in lots of yummy flavors. Also made daily, on site, are the big, beautiful chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate covered Oreo's. Then there is Asher's fine chocolates from Pennsylvania.
A favorite with kids are the collectible Pez dispensers, some talk, some play music and giant-sized for $25. I also found a huge selection of the regular sized dispensers.
There is a section of old fashioned candies, like we used to buy when we were kids at the movies, Necco. And the one my kids loved, Pop Rocks! I didn't think they made them anymore.
Harold Biagini said they also sell sugar free candy. There are many bins to choose from, the kids will love this store but will have a hard time deciding which ones they want.
Fuzziwigs Candy Factory is in Edison Mall #1375, next to JCPenney.
