The Savvy Shopper

Goblins 'n Witches 'n All Scary Things ...

Posted October 2, 2007

If you want to scare up some fun I found a store that has all that and more! The Halloween Megastore! As soon as you walk in the front door you will be greeted by skeletons as tall as me all draped in gauze ... whooow!

Danny from New Jersey opened this store for the month hoping to attract customers to his Halloween Headquarters as he put everything into this venture! It is packed with costumes of every kind and description and in all sizes. He claims to have over twelve hundred complete costumes!

I know there are aisle after aisle of them. You can be anything you can imagine..I even saw the bizarre like a beer keg!! Yeah, it came complete with the tap. Wonder if you can get the beer to come out? Another one was a toilet!! Yes a toilet!! Or dress up as a kissing booth...that guy or gal would have a lot of fun!! One customer was laughing her head off looking up and down all the aisles at some of the crazy costumes. Also Danny has all the accessories whether you are looking for something spooky, sexy, or silly you will find them here.

There were wigs for men and women from $11.99, theatrical hair $4.49, a whole range of theater make up, eyelashes, nails, fishnet stockings you name it. Ferocious and fearsome masks, latex masks like the gentle giant Shrek complete with his latex hands.

I liked the instant geek kit $9.99 or the computer nerd kit $13.99. How 'bout some bubba teeth or vampire teeth?

Everything a clown would need, complete with the big red shoes! Fairy wings and spooky things! Giant bats and rubber rats!! Huge hairy spiders. Spooky sounds on CDs $7.99.

He carries larger sizes for men and woman, kids and even baby's costumes.

I saw costumes for Carmen Miranda, a black sequin Starlet, Disco King, Greek Goddess, a red Senorita to a Rag Doll. Really, I haven't seen this many costumes under one roof before!

Turn your home into a haunted mansion. They have webbing, black lights, hanging decorations, skeletons, yard inflatable's and of course pumpkin and witches.

Danny said he has the lowest prices as he has shopped around and he HAS to move this merchandise so he is staying long hours to do it.

The Halloween Megastore Inc. is located at 12135 S. Cleveland Ave. Just North of Crystal Dr. in Ft. Myers. Phone: 239-275-6539 His hours are from 10 am - 11 pm every day until Halloween. Good luck Danny! And all of you have a Booo-tiful Halloween!

Personally shopped for you! Find more shopping news in the Banner's Shopping section.
