Too much fun at Belk's

While I was at Gulf Coast Center yesterday, I wandered into Belk's just to see if anything new was happening. I hadn't been there since their grand opening. Well, my favorite little word was all over the store, S-A-L-E!!
So I had to have a better look just to see if there were any real bargains I couldn't live without. There were racks and racks of 50 % off!! And a some at 75% off.
Mainly dresses and tops. There were sales all over the store so check out the men's department and children's. Petites had a selection at 50% off. The latest in bathing suits were 30% off as well as a good selection of sleep wear. A lot of Madison Studio which are casual clothes were 30% off.
Also I noticed a table of designer purses at 30% off. Ladies and men's shoes were buy one and get the second for 1/2 price. Now that's a department I didn't even go near as I have a thing for shoes....with sixty something pairs of shoes I thought that was a good choice but I heard those little devils calling me!!
They carry Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, and Ralph Lauren to name a few so I checked those sale racks and found a really neat Lauren skirt. When the girl rang it up, she said you saved $150.00!! Whoa!!! How much was that to begin with??
I hurried up to housewares to stay out of more trouble. The bargains I found there were 50% off colorful plastic party wear for use on the lanai, 40% off country dish sets as well as white porcelain sets. Pfaltzgraff and Fiesta Wear were 30% off as well as some pretty shell plates.
Beachy accessories 50%, beach towels 40%. Cooks Tools 20-piece knife set $19.98, 5-piece casserole set also at $19.98. Some of their pretty bedspread sets were also 50% off. A 9-piece garden tool set was only $9.99 and a folding garden stool with tools at $20.99.
The best buy I found, keeping in mind we are approaching hurricane season, was a quartz halogen lantern with a large lamp and a small lamp. It had feet so you could adjust where you want the light to shine and was rechargeable for only 14.99!!
Belk's, I believe, is the only store in our area to carry Bobbi Brown cosmetics...they weren't on sale, but I thought I'd throw that little tidbit in. Those, my friends, are "Belk's Best Bargains!''
