KB Toys offers huge assortment

JEANNE VOGT

I was shopping for a present for my soon-to-be-3 year old grand daughter, who is the "Apple of my Eye," whatever that means!....my mom used to say that!

So I went to check out the new KB Toys in Gulf Coast Center. Wow! What an assortment! The assistant Manager, Linda was very helpful. She pointed out they were having a "two-for" sale, 2 for $10.00. I found a Dora Doll, some Fisher Price for babies, an assortment of toys for little boys like a 40 piece Pirates of the Caribbean set, Play-Doh kits, and some Barbie dolls to mention a few.

For fun there was a colorful parrot that talked and Movin' Groovin' snakes for $14.99 that would make me go absolutely "Bonkers" after 15 minutes....but hey! It's the Grandkids and they go home!!

I really liked the remote controlled car that lit up and the oversized wheels that were all different flashing colors when it was moving. It did back flips and turned over and zipped away...at least it didn't make noise! It was on sale for only $12.99.

For all those little boys that are crazy about Thomas the Train there was a motorized Road & Rail System, 2 for $30.00. For the older kids an assortment of games, 2 for $20.00, also for that price was a collection of Bratz dolls.

A whole display of "Cars" from the movie and another display of toys from the Pirates of the Caribbean. Mega blocks, puzzles, Lego sets, a section of dress up clothes for our girley-girls. Talking Dora who speaks English or Spanish for $19.99.

I found Tooth Tunes, an electric tooth brush that plays several different tunes. Linda said a dental hygienist came in and bought several as they play the tunes for 2 minutes, that's how long the kids are supposed to brush their teeth and they always want to hear the end of the tune...what a concept!

Linda pointed out they had a whole aisle of Fisher price, another aisle of learning toys, action toys and lots of Barbie things.

The two-for sale ends on the 20th. But here is the best part, every Tuesday is Grandparents Day and we, who have earned that title, get an additional 10% off! Linda told me if you miss the two-for sale you can print this blog and bring it in, she will give you an additional 10% off with the blog on any purchase of $20.00 or more.

KB Toys is a great addition to Gulf Coast Center....we do not have another toy store in the area that I know of. I felt like a kid again...had to push all the buttons to see how things worked!

What a fun place to shop! They are great with their marketing...they know they have us Grandparents suckered in! Go see, you will come out with a whole bag full! Great toys, great prices!

Personally shopped for you! Find more shopping news in the Banner's Shopping section.
