Well, I guess that is why they call it Fishing not Catching or so they say, tell that to my clients that had a tough time and you might get a grumbling response. I wish every day was a winner but, I have been doing this long enough to know you can not always count on it. The good news is that for most of the week the fishing has been generally very good. We have had a couple of Slams this week and almost a Grand Slam on Wednesday. We caught the Snook, Redfish, and Trout, but lost the two Tarpon we had on. Oh well maybe next time.

Fishing has been good around the passes for Snook and around Little Marco and Hurricane for everything including Redfish and Trout. Hint- The fish are not always tight to the shorelines along these passes. The Tarpon have still been very difficult to target and you have to really hunt them to get your shot. This is what I mean Shot not Shots. If you get a couple of shots in the morning you are doing well this year. I hope the rain from Barry will pick up the pace at least on the small Tarpon.

Fishing this next week should be better, if the winds subside after the storm and the water acclimates to the rain. I would give it a couple of days though. Keep looking to the passes and the river mouths for continued Snook action and fish hard and good thing should happen. Good Casting Rz.
